WHAT IS COUNSELLING AND LIFE COACHING AND HOW CAN IT HELP?
Counselling provides a confidential, non-judgemental and caring environment in which to explore your anxieties and difficulties in a way that may not be possible with a friend or relative. It offers a therapeutic relationship which will support you in your decision making and in drawing upon your own inner resources.
Counselling can be a means of helping you to face up to some painful aspects of your life. In the process, it often brings change and discovery of some previously hidden truth about yourself. With this comes freedom to live more fully and with greater awareness and understanding.
Life Coaching can build on Counselling and focuses on practical ways of improving your life experience. However, Life Coaching does not have to form part of Counselling and Counselling does not have to form part of Life Coaching - each can be looked at separately. For those individuals who simply wish to focus on how to improve their life, Life Coaching provides the tools and techniques to help you to move forward in a positive way.
